About NordFly Group Airlines

Founded in Hamburg in 2020, NordFly Group Airlines is a virtual airline group for flight simulation enthusiasts who value freedom, quality and community. We bring together three distinct concepts: NordFly for passenger operations, NordFly Cargo for freight flights and FlyHoliday for leisure and holiday destinations. You decide how to fly: offline, on IVAO or on VATSIM. Explore seasonal summer and winter schedules, discover new destinations through tours or plan your own routes where your airline's concept allows it. There are no mandatory hub assignments or rank-based aircraft restrictions. Our in-house OperationCenter brings together flight planning with SimBrief, ACARS, tours, statistics, SOPs and events. The NordFly Group Installer makes it easy to install and update our high-quality liveries and additional content. Our active Discord community is at the heart of everything we do. Group flights, events, screenshot contests and mutual support are all part of the experience. Membership and our resources are free, maintained by a dedicated volunteer team. We're looking for pilots who enjoy realistic flight simulation, understand basic IFR procedures and want to be an active part of the community. Fly more than routes. Fly Community!

Questions pilots ask

What do I need to join?
You must be at least 16 years old and join our Discord server. We require proficiency in at least one aircraft from our fleet, basic IFR knowledge, and up-to-date navigation charts and AIRAC data. Pilots must complete at least five flights per quarter (except Q3) and their first accepted flight within seven days of account activation. Membership in other virtual airlines must be discussed with our team beforehand.
Which simulators can I fly?
We support Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, as well as X-Plane 11 and 12 on PC. Our liveries and tools are available depending on the aircraft and simulator. Xbox versions are not supported.
Do I have to fly online on VATSIM or IVAO?
No! You can fly completely offline or use IVAO and VATSIM. Online flying is entirely optional. If you're new to online networks, our community will gladly help you get started.
Are aircraft restricted by rank?
No. There are no rank-based aircraft restrictions. You can fly any available aircraft within your airline from day one, provided you can operate it safely. Access to additional airlines within the group becomes available after ten accepted flights.
How often do I need to fly to stay active?
We require at least five accepted flights per quarter. The third quarter (July to September) is our official summer break and is exempt from this requirement. You can also use one quarterly exemption per year. This keeps our community active while respecting your personal life.
Where are your hubs and what do you fly?
Our airlines operate from their own bases: NordFly includes Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Stockholm; NordFly Cargo operates from Hanover, Munich, Cologne/Bonn and Leipzig/Halle; and FlyHoliday is based in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Amsterdam. NordFly offers scheduled passenger flights, NordFly Cargo operates international freight services, and FlyHoliday focuses on leisure and holiday destinations. Our worldwide route network covers short-, medium- and long-haul flights. Pilots are not restricted to a specific hub.
Is there a community to join?
Absolutely! Our active Discord community is the heart of NordFly Group Airlines. We organize regular group flights on IVAO and VATSIM, community events and monthly screenshot contests. You'll find friendly support, opportunities to share experiences and pilots to fly with. Joining and remaining on our Discord server is required.
How do I fly my first flight?
First, join our Discord server and generate your personal registration code. Then register through our OperationCenter and verify your email address. Once your account is activated, book a flight, track it using our ACARS system and submit your flight report. Your first flight must be accepted within seven days of activation. Our community is always happy to help.

Virtual airlines are flight simulation communities and aren't affiliated with any real airline. Logos and names belong to their respective owners. Stats come from the flights their pilots track with Stratos.
