About Delta Virtual

Delta Virtual is a community-driven virtual airline inspired by the operations of Delta Air Lines and its global partners. Founded in August 2014, we welcome flight simulation enthusiasts of all experience levels, combining realistic airline operations with the flexibility to fly on your own terms. Our pilots enjoy real-world Delta and codeshare routes, charter flights, ACARS flight tracking, SimBrief integration, rank progression, awards, themed tours, and community events. We support Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, Prepar3D, and FSX, with a friendly community and dedicated staff ready to help. Delta Virtual is an independent, non-commercial flight simulation organization and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Delta Air Lines, Inc., SkyTeam, or any real-world airline.

Questions pilots ask

What do I need to join?
You must be at least 18 years old, own a legitimate copy of a supported flight simulator, and register at deltavirtual.org using your real name and a valid email address. You’ll also need to provide your country and date of birth and agree to our rules. No previous virtual airline experience is required. Complete your first flight within 14 days of joining, then at least one flight every 60 days to remain active. VATSIM and IVAO membership are optional.
Which simulators can I fly?
You can fly **Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024, X-Plane, Prepar3D, FSX, or FSX: Steam Edition**, using an approved ACARS client compatible with your simulator.
Do I have to fly online on VATSIM or IVAO?
No. Flying on VATSIM or IVAO is optional. You can fly offline and log your flights using an approved ACARS client.
Are aircraft restricted by rank?
No — aircraft are not restricted by pilot rank. Pilots can fly any aircraft regardless of their accumulated hours or rank.
How often do I need to fly to stay active?
You need to complete at least one flight every 60 days to remain active. New pilots must complete their first flight within 14 days of joining. If you become inactive, you’ll be placed on leave and can contact staff to reactivate your account.
Where are your hubs and what do you fly?
Our hubs are Atlanta (KATL), Boston (KBOS), Detroit (KDTW), New York–JFK (KJFK), New York–LaGuardia (KLGA), Los Angeles (KLAX), Minneapolis–St. Paul (KMSP), Portland (KPDX), Seattle (KSEA), Salt Lake City (KSLC), Amsterdam (EHAM), Paris–Charles de Gaulle (LFPG), Tokyo–Haneda (RJTT), and Seoul–Incheon (RKSI). We fly real-world Delta Air Lines and partner routes worldwide, from regional and short-haul services to long-haul international flights. Our operations include Airbus, Boeing, and regional aircraft, alongside flexible charter flying, tours, and community events.
Is there a community to join?
Yes! Delta Virtual has an active Discord community where members can chat, share screenshots, get flight simulator and ACARS support, and take part in group flights, tours, and events. New and experienced pilots are welcome. Join through the Discord link on our website: https://deltavirtual.org. Our Discord community is for Delta Virtual members.
How do I fly my first flight?
Once your pilot account is approved, sign in to the Delta Virtual Crew Center and choose a scheduled flight or create a charter. Select your aircraft, prepare your flight plan, and install an approved ACARS client using the downloads and instructions provided. Open your simulator, position your aircraft at the departure airport, and connect your ACARS client. Start flight tracking, complete your flight, then end tracking and submit your pilot report (PIREP). Need help getting started? Our staff and Discord community can guide you. Remember to complete your first flight within 14 days of joining.
